some months ago, i found ronja, as she is called now, lying by the side of the road. she was just a bundle of skin and bones and did not move. when i came closer and called her, she lifted her head and blinked at me. i lifted her up and put her on my lap. she was full with tick and flea and had mites in her skin which caused severe itching and wounds. she was so weak and her gums white.
i could feel that ronja was glad that i put her on my lap, she really clinged to me and so we went home on my motorbike.
at home i put her on the back of the car and put flea powder on her and took off all the horrible ticks. then she moved into the bathroom and i treated her with ear solution, skin remedy and - chicken. she was very hungry too and had good appetite.
with plenty good food, medicine and lots of cuddles, the following weeks ronja got slowly better. however, after some days she refused to eat and had to spend a night at the vetclinic where she was put on iv. after that ronjas condition improved steadily.
but this is all history now and she has grown into a beautiful healthy and funny doggie :O))
she is staying at the new land since long and has lots of fun with her many friends there.
